Grantees on a trip with the Fulbright Alumni Association
Gunnar at Audholtshjaleiga talking w. grantees
The newly founded Fulbright Alumni Association in Iceland invited the U.S. grantees on a daytrip Sunday, February 8. A small bus took the group to the south coast of Iceland where various places of interest were visited such as the Agricultural School in Hveragerði and the new geysers which appeared after the big earthquake in June and are just above the town of Hveragerði. The group was invited to the horse breeding farm at Auðholtshjáleiga and after that a visit to the Ghost museum in Stokkseyri. At the end of the day Ragnhildur, the chairman of the board invited the group to her home for a traditional Icelandic feast of ram‘s testicles, smoked lamb meat and lobster. More pictures from the trip can be found on our website´s photo page.
