June 24. 2003 Fulbright Scholars Acknowledged at Annual Reception The Icelandic Fulbright Commission held its Annual Reception on June 2nd in Idno in Reykjavik. Both Honorary Chairmen of the Board, United States Ambassador to Iceland Mr. James I. Gadsden and Icelandic Minister of Education and Culture Mr. Tomas Ingi Olrich were present, as well as many Board Members and friends of Fulbright, when the Commission's Executive Director, Lara Jonsdottir, handed out Certificates of Award to new Icelandic Fulbright grantees. Student grantees 2003 are:
Andri Steinthor Bjornsson who will study towards an advanced degree in Psychology
In addition, Dr. Arnfridur Gudmundsdottir received a Fulbright Scholar Award to conduct research in Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. We congratulate them all on their wonderful achievment!
